Helping teams excel

Clarity & unity for your critical teams

What’s holding your top teams back?

Some of these challenges may sound familiar

  • Ambitious goals. Your teams have to deliver on monumental strategies but don’t have the capacity, or aren’t sure where to start to set themselves up for success.

  • Organisational change. The context you operate in has been disrupted, so your team needs to review where they’re at, reset, and regroup to adapt and thrive.

  • A new team or team members. You've got brilliant people but they're not working as a team yet. There's a silo mentality with people focusing on their individual areas and not always operating at the right level.

  • Artificial harmony. Everyone's very polite, but there are no robust conversations with everyone in the room. Instead, people are complaining behind closed doors and/or not fully engaged in team decisions.

  • Dysfunction and destructive conflict. Personality clashes, anger and frustration are dominating the team’s focus.

  • Lack of purpose. People in the team don’t seem to know why they need to be a team or how critical their performance is for the organisation’s success. They lack a strong grasp of their ‘why.’

It takes conscious focus and effort to become a great team, along with skills many people haven’t been taught during their careers. We can help you transform a group of individuals into a high performance team.

Turn teams into high performers

Shared Purpose

In high performing teams, everyone knows why they're there and throws their heart and soul into achieving the team’s purpose.

Shared Language

Strong teams use common language for efficient, effective communication and decision making.

Self-aware

Great teams know what’s needed to be successful, are aware of their strengths and risk areas, and have empathy for others. They leverage off this awareness to achieve results.

Self-correcting

Effective teams use clear goals and processes to keep them on track and have strategies to adapt to change as needed.

  • “We’re a growing business, with different personalities across the teams. I wanted to make sure we were all on the same bus and that I was communicating and listening in the right way. Engaging with Evolutio was the first step in getting everyone aligned with where we were going and why.”

    Managing Director / CEO
    Assura Software

  • “Gretchen has a remarkable talent for bridging the gap between theory and practice, making her recommendations practical and effective for our team. Her insights into team dynamics, leadership development, and individual coaching have led to significant improvements in how we work, including getting us to work in a more proactive, strategic space.”

Team development process

  • We start with an initial meeting to learn about your context and objectives. When teams struggle it’s not because they are inherently flawed, but often because of changes in circumstances or ambitious targets that leave them unsure of where to start. In this meeting we will discuss your current state, your desired destination, and your perceptions of the challenges at hand.

  • The next step is to gather information from the team themselves and key stakeholders, to work out what’s going on. There are a several ways this can be done: a survey, team member interviews, or both. Most opt for the latter two options because they provide more depth of understanding. After the diagnostic process we suggest a suitable approach tailored to your team’s context and needs.

  • With a view to maximising your team’s performance and informed by the diagnostic work, we develop and deliver a series of workshops tailored to your team’s needs.

These are typically half-day workshops held every 3-4 weeks , with work required of the team between each session to maintain momentum and bed in changes.

  • Alongside team workshops, we meet regularly with you as the team’s leader, to discuss how things are tracking and consider the next steps.

Over time, we work less with the whole team and more with you, as your coach. Towards the end of the programme there’s a noticeable shift away from us facilitating the team development process, as we had it back over to you.

Some teams engage us as their team coach for a period of time, to observe key meetings and support them with embedding changes and new ways working.

We also offer ongoing executive coaching for individual team members who need further support.

  • At the end of the engagement, we'll reassess the team’s state. This may involve revisiting the survey or conducting brief one-on-one sessions. A check-in at the end of the work helps you document progress and adapt your course as needed.

Our objective is to empower your team to develop genuine adaptability, enabling them to consistently evaluate their progress and adapt to the evolving context.

What to expect from us when developing your team

Team development is a partnership. We identify key challenges and critical areas for your team to work on. We give you tools and help you develop a roadmap, but your team will need to do the work to bring it to life.

It’s a journey. This won’t be a one-day, quick fix exercise, resulting in team documents doomed to sit in a drawer, or light team-building exercises which don’t result in lasting change. Our approach requires substantial focus and effort from the team to create sustainable change and lift performance.

It won’t be ‘light’, but it will be fun. Even though it’s hard work, we make it fun. Team members should value and enjoy being on a team, while working hard to achieve ambitious goals. It is no different when working on their own team functioning. We believe that your team enjoying the process is key to making real, lasting progress.
